Phase One is preparing the work area - turns out that if you keep doing little projects and neglect to fully organize the area afterwards; eventually, you end up with one heck of a disaster in your garage/work shop. This week Dylan, Christine and I are focusing on setting up the space for the projects.
In my experience, it's pretty easy for Captain ADD (that would be me) to lose focus when I spend 40 minutes looking for a tool to do a 12 minute operation (there is generally a lot of foul language involved)
We did choose our frames, start sorting through the many boxes of parts, and decide who is doing what to what kind of bike. The preliminary plans are:
Dave - 1991 GSXR 750 Street Fighter with a 1200 Bandit engine (7/12 in bike builder speak), 1999 YZF 600 full restoration, and 1992 FZR 600 full restoration.
Christine - 1996 FZR 600 Street Fighter.
Next Week I'll try to get some before pictures of the projects up and then the work will begin in earnest.
